Bone spurs are a small extra outgrowth or bony projection on the normal bones. Medically They are called as Osteophytes. Bone spurs most often found developing in the heels. i.e the term spur.

Though the frequency of none spurs in heels they can also form on the spine, shoulder, hands,foot joints and hips. Bone will not cause any pain unless they are rubbed or bruised.Bone Spur can occur at the age of over 60 years. Non surgical methods to get rid of bone spur.

  • Ibuprofen is available without a prescription for patients who suffer from back pain, inflammation, tenderness, and stiffness.Ibuprofen is generally safe, but you should avoid taking it if you have a sensitive stomach or an active ulcer.Shoulder bone spurs can restrict the motion of your arm and cause swelling in your rotator cuff, the group of muscles and tendons that stabilize your shoulders.
  • Bone Spurs that grow on the spine and on the neck can reduce movements and also will cause pain. One best way to reduce or eliminate these symptoms is by undergoing physical therapy.Depending on the nature of your bone spurs, the physical therapist may require you to do a combination of aerobic conditioning, stretching, and muscle-building exercises
